Uriah was a Hittite and one of David's mighty men who served in his army. He was the husband of Bathsheba (2 Samuel 11:3).

He was walking on the roof of the palace
David saw Bathsheba from the roof of the palace while he was likely taking an evening walk. This vantage point allowed him to see her bathing in her home below (2 Samuel 11:2).
2 Samuel 11:2
#4
Put Uriah in the front of the most intense battle and withdraw from him
David sent a letter to Joab instructing him to place Uriah in the front of the hardest battle and then withdraw so that Uriah would be struck down and killed (2 Samuel 11:14-15).
2 Samuel 11:14-15

He said it would be wrong to enjoy comfort while the ark and his fellow soldiers were in the field
