Who was Jeremiah and why is he important?+
Jeremiah was a prophet in the Old Testament who lived during a difficult time for the kingdom of Judah. God called him to warn the people to turn back to God and stop doing wrong things. Even though the people rejected his messages and treated him badly, Jeremiah faithfully delivered God's words and showed us the importance of trusting God even when things are hard.
Why did Jeremiah warn the people about Babylon?+
Jeremiah warned the people about Babylon because God showed him that the people of Judah had turned away from God and were doing evil things. As a punishment, God would allow the Babylonians to capture them and take them away as captives. This was God's way of calling the people to change their hearts and return to Him.
